Eunice Ingham coined the term "Reflexology" in 1930. Eunice Ingham used the teachings of William Fitgerald who has written them in his book about massage techniques in 1917 “Zone Therapy”. Though Eunice Ingham chose to avoid talking about the majority of ten energy zones as written by William Fitgerald in his book; Eunice Ingham just kept her focus on feet.
A number of variants of reflexology are available these include (1) the Pressure Point Massage, (2) the Compression Massage, (3) the Pointed Pressure Massage, (4) the Vita-Flex, Zone Therapy, (5) the Reflex Zone Therapy, (6) the Reflexotherapy and, (6) ‘Vacuflex’. You must notice that the Reflexologists never say that they have diagnosed your disease. They also never claim that they can treat your disease that you are suffering from. The reflexologist only says that their therapy will restore "balance"; their therapy will "restore" your energy back. Usually the technique of reflexology is never imparted alone; they impart it in combination of other additional holistic therapies such as (1) famous Indian yogic system, (2) Eastern acupressure system, (3) far Eastern methods of tai chi and (4) shiatsu.
